L’Avenir
L'Avenir’s history dates back to the late 1600s making it among the first areas identified for grape cultivation by the early European settlers in the Cape. The farm specializes in crafting exceptional SA wines with a distinct French touch, focusing primarily on varietals of Pinotage & Chenin Blanc.
L'Avenir Country Lodge is an intimate 4-star retreat just moments away from the historic town of Stellenbosch. They offer a host of enticing features, including home-cooked breakfasts served on the deck & complimentary wine tastings. For visitors seeking tailored experiences, the Country Lodge is ready to accommodate bespoke requests, providing an escape from the hustle and bustle.
Inspired by the sophistication of French bistro culture, L'Avenir's elegant tasting room Cellardoor offers a welcoming ambiance for wine enthusiasts. Nestled within a naturally formed amphitheatre and perched high in the captivating Upper Blaauwklippen Valley, is Keermont Vineyards - an oasis of isolation just a stone's throw away from the vibrant attractions of Stellies.
For those seeking accommodation, lodging options are offered exclusively on Airbnb. Choose from the charming Farmhouse & Cottage or the welcoming Winery Apartment.
Browse Keermont’s 3 diverse ranges of delightful wines: The Keermont Range - an annual release of wines that are exclusively nurtured, produced & bottled on the Keermont estate. The SVS (Single Vineyard Series) on the other hand, has been meticulously curated to accentuate the exceptional quality and unique character of wines originating from specific vineyard parcels on the estate, with production of each wine in this series being highly limited. Lastly, the Companion Range, although not an annual release, presents a delightful surprise at an accessible price point, comprising just one or two barrels of wine that didn't find their way into the Keermont Range for that particular year.
Skilpadvlei
Cradled in the idyllic countryside of the Cape Winelands is Skilpadvlei, celebrated for its local ambiance and awe-inspiring landscapes that encompass the Stellenbosch Hills.
Guest Cottages beckon travellers with an intimate farm-stay experience, offering B&B and self-catering accommodations. For those seeking a touch of history, opt for the River Cottage situated in the "Waenhuis," possibly the oldest building on Weltevreden!
