Geuwels is situated on one of SA’s oldest working farms, Vergenoegd Löw Wine Estate – a restored Cape Dutch Homestead with significant historical value, lending inspiration to the restaurant’s traditionally South African menu.
South African heritage plays a significant role in the menu, featuring ingredients like Bovril & Saldanha Bay mussels – truly a local’s delight! Fresh produce is used to create these delectable local dishes, as well as duck eggs produced on the farm.
Their lunch menu offers a selection of South African small plates that taste as vibrant as they look!
Mouth-watering meals featuring freshly baked roosterkoek & creamy biltong butter, crispy maize-pap chips with a delightful garlic emulsion, smoked pork belly, sweet pumpkin fritters & roast pumpkin, as well as shaved cauliflower, garlic confit & macadamia. An absolute adventure for the tastebuds!
No meal is complete without a little wine… and luckily Vergenoegd Löw has just that! With sensational wines that pair perfectly with the dishes at Geuwels, elevating your culinary experience.
Guests can enjoy their meal inside the charmingly restored manor house or outside in the sun – either way, you won’t be disappointed!
