Adventures From Plett to Phuket

With the travel bug having bitten once again, it was time for my mom, my sister and I to board for our next adventure - this time to the tropical paradise of Phuket, Thailand!

Our journey was nothing short of magical! Our wonderful week-long adventure & yoga retreat, coordinated by CC’s Hideaway, was a vibrant blend of movement, relaxation, nature, and cultural immersion - the perfect celebration for all three of our birthdays, including for my mom’s 80th year!

We kicked off our island escapade with an unforgettable discovery tour of the Koh Yao & Hong Islands on Day One, with a calming cruise through Phang-Nga Bay on a traditional long-tail boat, with limestone cliffs and turquoise waters setting the scene.

From there we took a boat to the island of Koh Yao Noi, where we ended our afternoon savouring a stunning selection of traditional Thai cuisine next to the beach set in the mangroves.

Day 2 took us deeper into Thai culture with a temple tour and trek of Old Town - including a visit to the iconic Big Buddha and a nourishing organic lunch at WeCafé.

We reflected on our busy day with a serene sunset beach yoga session…

Day 3 was all about flavour with a hands-on Thai cooking class complete with an organic farm and market tour - the results were as tasty as they were educational!
