We enjoyed an afternoon of delightful food and wine with platters from local caterer & private chef Anna Ridgewell.
Tasting Menu:
4 Bitou wines paired with 4 thoughtfully selected platters
Pairing 1: Plett’s Perfect Pairing - A delectable 2017 Sauvignon Blanc MCC Brut with fresh oysters, strawberries, crudités & sundried tomato hummus.
Pairing 2: A crisp 2021 Sauvignon Blanc & Semillon blend with wonderful fruity aromas & a fresh lime finish, paired with butternut feta frittata and pineapple & parma ham sticks.
Pairing 3: 2020 Sauv Blanc Sassy- an off-dry white wine with pleasing tropical flavours, paired with corn & cheese samosas & caramelized onion & goat’s cheese tartlets.
Pairing 4: 2020 Malbec with stunning floral notes & a rich mulberry/plum finish, paired with heavenly double chocolate brownies & date balls.

Exciting Developments at Bitou Vineyards!
Located just outside central Plett off the N2, Bitou Vineyards is the latest addition to the Plett Winelands. It is not yet fully open to the public, but tastings held in the converted Polo stables can be arranged by appointment. You won’t want to miss the restaurant's stunning view, facing the glorious vines & forest hills beyond!
Very excitingly, they are also completing their fantastic kids play area, BAKE, where kids of all ages can be entertained with healthy food, an indoor tree-house for the tots and a games room downstairs for the slightly older kids! It also features an activity room & an outdoor chill / pool area!
Bitou Vineyards is sure to be one of the TOP family-friendly wineries in the Cape!
